With
the release of Discipline, Saved has evolved yet again. Dan
and Jeremy decided to write an entirely acoustic album, and hone
their songwriting skills rather than their skill in manipulating
electronica. The result is an album that contains more musical depth
and honesty than their previous recordings. Although this will probably
be their final collaborative effort, it seems that God has Saved
the best for last.

"Gracious
Father, we are men of weak and weary skin who cannot acheive any good
thing unless You grant us the ability to obtain it. Thank You that
despite our tremendous inadequacy and wicked indifference, You gave
us songs to sing for You. We produce this recording as an act of discipline
from Your disciples. We recognize that we can worship You with self-limitation.
We have sought to do that by presenting our hopes and thoughts in
the basest means possible: through steel strings and varnished wood.
We lift our soiled hands to praise Your scarred, but unblemished hands.
This act of discipline is worship to You, Creator of All and Savior
of our souls." -from liner notes of Discipline |

| Three
Chords and The Truth-Someone
once said that country music was special because it was "three
chords and the truth." This song uses this truism as weak analagy
for the Doctrine of the Trinity. |

| Out
of my Hands-Dan
really showcases his skill with reed instruments as he accompanies
this song with four different saxaphone parts. This song affirms our
reliance on the sovereignty of God. |

| The
Suitor Song-This song compares the very first love
story with the love story that we are all living in. Special thanks
to Johnathan Pope for brilliant and sensitive cello work. |
